Rick Santorum finally “endorses” his Republican candidate for President – if you want to call it endorse…
Rick Santorum (left) debates Mitt Romney in Mesa, Arizona 02/2012. In March Santorum said (about Romney): “Pick any other Republican in the country. He is the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama.”
And the Tea Party pushes out another moderate. Yes indeed, “Compromise” is a dirty word in the Republican Cuckoo’s lair!
I don’t know what pain-killer Rick Santorum had to swallow – which anesthetic he was under…but apparently, IT DID NOT NUMB THE PAIN. Santorum finally threw his PUBLIC support behind Romney last night (5/8/2012) but he buried it so deep, the sun’s rays just barely reach it.
Santorum’s “ringing” endorsement of Romney came in a LATE NIGHT E-MAIL! In the 13th paragraph.
Santorum sent the e-mail to his supporters Monday at 11 P.M.
He says: “…we both agree that President Obama must be defeated. The task will not be easy. It will require all hands on deck if our nominee is to be victorious. Governor Romney will be that nominee and he has my endorsement and support to win this the most critical election of our lifetime.”
He goes on to say in paragraph 14:
“My conversation with Governor Romney was very productive, but I intend to keep lines of communication open with him and his campaign. I hope to ensure that the values that made America that shining city on the hill are illuminated brightly by our party and our candidates thus ensuring not just a victory, but a mandate for conservative governance.”
I hope you noticed he said: BUT I intend to keep lines of communication open with him and his campaign.
In other words: I don’t trust you. You are a flip-flopper. You are using us to get into the Oval Office, BUT DON’T THINK THAT ONCE YOU GET IN THERE, WE WILL ROLL OVER AND PLAY DEAD WHILE YOU FLOP BACK TO THE MIDDLE. You are not going to screw us…so I and the Tea Party, us “real” extreme Republicans WILL BE WATCHING YOU!
Tea Party sign. Mr. Romney….take note. THEY will be watching you!!! What is YOUR position on guns, again…!?
Note how it would read differently if he’d said: AND I intend to keep lines of communication open with him and his campaign…
AND here would be conciliatory. BUT is more OR ELSE
Santorum ends by noting in a post script: P.S. “As promised, very soon we will be making another big announcement, and I will be asking you to once again join forces with me to keep up the fight, together. Stay tuned.”
Trust me – we’re tuned! Even then he just has to steal Romney’s thunder. I have NOT seen other people picking up on these points. Interesting. Very interesting. Is he in the Vice Presidential stakes…?
Santorum says: “I felt a deep responsibility to assess Governor Romney’s commitment to addressing the issues most important to conservatives, as well his commitment to ensuring our appropriate representation in a Romney administration.”

What are the issues MOST important to conservatives? DO these issues resonate with YOU.
So YOU WANT MORE JOBS AND SMALLER GOVERNMENT. Fine. But do you also want the government denying homosexuals their rights, destroying the environment, women’s reproductive rights, etc. Because you are GETTING THE WHOLE PACKAGE.
This is not like buying a package of unscented and scented soap then keeping the unscented soap and giving the scented soap away because you don’t like scented soaps. You WILL NOT be able to return that soap until after 4 years!
According to Santorum in his email: “The family and its foundational role in America’s economic success, a central point of our campaign, was discussed at length. I was impressed with the Governor’s deep understanding of this connection and his commitment to economic policies that preserve and strengthen families. He clearly understands that having pro-family initiatives are not only the morally and economically right thing to do, but that the family is the basic building block of our society and must be preserved.”
I HOPE YOU GET WHAT SANTORUM IS SAYING. I hope you’re getting the message, understanding the code words and hidden nuances and implications. When code-words are used to describe and refer to blacks, some of us PRETEND we don’t understand. DO NOT PRETEND HERE THAT YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!
Do you know that cuckoos exhibit brood parasitism? Some cuckoos choose NOT to build nests. They lay their eggs in other birds nests and sometimes THROW OUT the eggs and baby chicks they find there! According to Wiki: Some of these parasitic cuckoos have been shown to exhibit “Mafia-like” enforcement, in which adult cuckoos will completely destroy the host’s clutch if they reject the cuckoo egg. Poor Senator Lugar…at the hands of the Tea party Cuckoos who took over his Republican nest! More fallout…?
If you think that a president Romney will be an independent actor – check what happened when Tea Party lawmakers ALMOST shut down the government (spring 2011) because they refused to budge and compromise. It was their way or the highway…and speaker John Boehner almost could NOT restrain them.
Look at the election results for the Republican Senate Primary in Indiana. The moderate Republican, Richard Lugar, lost! Lugar is one of the Senate’s longest-serving members.

He was trounced by the Tea Party candidate, Indiana state Treasurer Richard Mourdock in a bitter primary election. Lugar criticized his fellow Republican’s: “unrelenting partisan mindset.”
Is that what you want, America?
Go ahead. Vote for a Republican!
Then fasten your seat belts….
Both Tea Party darling Sarah Palin and Rick Santorum backed Mourdock.. Lugar is too “moderate” and “bi-partisan” for the Tea Party! He works with democrats! The UNpatriotic traitor!
We’ll see CHANGE with a President Romney…indeed!
